A few coffee making tips

2019 08/10

September is approaching and autumn is approaching. Autumn winds bring a chill that reminds us of the end of summer and the time for coffee. Some people say that the New Year is a new beginning, but I always think autumn is the real starting point of a year, especially for students. They need pencils and notebooks ready for the start of the new school year, and those of us at work need to dig out old recipes and start preparing seasonal treats.

Here, I'd like to share a few coffee making tips to better prepare for the New Year.

Selection and storage of coffee beans

The quality of the ingredients directly affects the taste of the food, as does coffee. So, the next time you pick a coffee, pay attention to where it comes from and how well it's roasted.

Never put coffee in the fridge. Abrupt changes in temperature can affect the aroma and taste of coffee. You need to store the coffee in a sealed container and avoid overheating or moisture. You can also put the coffee directly in the bag, but be sure to seal the bag.

Weigh the coffee. Different beans have different weights, so the next time you pick a coffee, you can weigh it to see if there are any bad or empty beans.

Make sure the coffee is fresh enough

Grind your own beans. While ground coffee is easier to drink, grinding your own beans is definitely the best choice. You build up your muscles and you get a mellower coffee. If you're too lazy to use a hand grinder, you can use an electronic coffee grinder. Make sure to clean the coffee mill after each use, otherwise it will affect the taste of coffee.

Never use boiling water to brew coffee, or coffee will taste burnt.

Choose your favorite brewing method and master it skillfully

In summer, you may prefer to drink iced coffee, so you need to master the skills of making iced coffee. You can also try mixing coffee with smoothies or cocktails.

Whether you are using a philharmonic press, hand brewed coffee, French press or whatever, make sure you are doing it correctly. If you like the simplest form of drip coffee, wet the filter paper before brewing, which will make the coffee more delicious.

If you are making hot coffee, please heat all the utensils before using them. Better heat up your coffee mug too!

Now you have the perfect cup of coffee, and then what?

If your coffee is perfect, don't tarnish it with bad milk or sugar. Choose the best milk or almond milk and add a dash of alcohol or syrup to give your coffee a kick.

What if there's some coffee left? Never mind, coffee is a versatile kitchen spice. You can marinate the chicken in it or dip it into the top of the cheesecake. Explore the endless possibilities of coffee.
